Submit podcast to Apple Podcasts

Submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts

If you want people to be able to listen to your podcast through Apple Podcasts, you will need to manually register your podcast with Apple. You can go through this process in a few easy steps.

You will need an Apple ID in order to submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts. If you only have a private Apple ID account and want to host a business podcast that you're working on with multiple people, we recommend that you create a separate Apple ID. Follow the steps below and submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts.

1. Copy your unique podcast RSS feed

Every podcast you create with Springcast has its own unique podcast feed. This feed is listed in directories and players, such as Spotify, Google podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, etc.

1. Go to your Springcast account
2. Select on the podcast you want to submit to Apple Podcasts
3. Select 'distribution'.
4. Click 'copy' (this button is located right next to the link)

2. Go to Apple Podcasts Connect and sign in

Go to the Apple Podcast management environment to register your podcast. Sign in with your iTunes account or create one first.

1. Go to Apple Podcasts Connect
2. Sign in with your Apple ID or create one. If you have an iOS device, you can create an Apple ID there. For example, in the iTunes app or on the device itself under settings. Using an Android device? Download the iTunes app on your device and create an Apple ID there. You can also create an Apple ID via the web.

Are you experiencing problems logging into Apple Podcasts Connect with your Apple ID, such as 'Activate your Apple ID'? Then read this article.

3. Add your podcast RSS feed

After logging in with your Apple ID, you can submit your podcast. Apple requires you to validate your podcast before actually submitting your podcast for approval.

1. Next to 'Podcasts', click '+'
2. Select 'New show'.
3. Under Show type, select 'Add a show with an RSS feed'.
4. Enter the RSS feed you copied in step 1 here
4. Check that the correct information is shown and refresh the page and complete the details
5. Check that all published episodes are shown
6. If everything is correct, click 'save' and then the 'submit' button (top right) to submit your podcast

The approval of your podcast may take a few days. Generally, it does not exceed 72 hours. You will receive an e-mail when your podcast has been approved and registered.

Note: it is mandatory to have at least one published episode for Apple to approve your podcast. Also, make sure you have filled in the 'Copyright' field in your 'Podcast Settings' menu at Springcast. If not, Apple will reject your RSS feed.

Good to know: When the Apple Podcasts registration is complete, your podcast will automatically appear in the following podcast apps: Castbox, Overcast and Castro.
